We placed our solar power Merlin Eco System at 12,000 feet to provide hikers fresh clean drinking water at any moment.

Also in Nepal, thanks to the Bay Area Nepal Women’s Organization, a non-profit organization out of NorCal comprised of women and men who were born in Nepal, but who now live and work in California.  We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their work! Their plan is to carry our water system around to 3 to 4 schools and an orphanage every day. They will stop at each location, using the Merlin system to fill the school’s daily water tank, then move on to the next location. They hope to have 5 water drop off points each day, using this one simple system. Our portable solar water system.

Merlin Test Results

Merlin Portable Water Purifier, water test, field sample #3, Creek near Buck’s Restaurant in Woodside, Ca, 27 Jan 2015.

The Merlin Eco Solutions Water Purifier has been tested using waters from India, Michigan, Minnesota, and California and has passed every test.

Because there are so many unknown contaminants in our water today, especially chemicals, we cannot guarantee this device will eliminate all potential health hazards.  We strongly recommend that each water source be tested by a certified local testing agency after running the water through the Merlin Water Purifier.

If for any reason the purified water does not test as “potable” simply return the Merlin Water Purifier in its original packaging along with a copy of the failed water test within one year from date of purchase and your purchase price will be refunded.

Disaster Prevention

Clean drinking water may not be available after a disaster — your regular water supply may be cut off or contaminated, and local store shelves may be empty. And while you may last up to three weeks without food, most experts agree that three to five days is the longest you’ll live without water.

The Merlin Eco-Solutions Water Purifier is the perfect solution for your disaster prep needs. Ultra-portable: Housed in an included custom backpack, the approx. 30 pound purifier is easy to take with you, wherever you may need to travel. Versatile: No power? No problem. Merlin’s Voyager model includes collapsible solar panels. Other Merlin models are powered by 12VDC batteries and 110VAC electricity. Efficient: With one gallon/3.8 liters of clean water purified every minute, the Merlin is perfect for groups of any size. Durable: Solid construction and a reusable, organic water filter ensures each purifier will last a lifetime.

Disaster Relief

Providing clean drinking water to large groups during disasters is a logistical and economic challenge – damaged roads and unreliable infrastructure can often hamper even the best intended centralized distribution plans. You need a portable, high-capacity solution that meets your requirements yet doesn’t bust your budget.
The Merlin Eco-Solutions Water Purifier is the perfect solution for your disaster relief needs. High Capacity Relief: With one gallon/3.8 liters of clean water purified every minute, each Merlin purifier comfortably delivers enough clean drinking water to serve approx. 250 people each day. Low Budget Impact: Because the Merlin is priced at a fraction of the cost of commercially available purifiers, governments and first responders can purchase multiple purifiers, serve comparable populations, and yet keep relief budgets out of the red.  Ultra-portable: Housed in an included custom backpack, the approx. 30 pound purifier makes it easy to bring water directly to those in need, rather than forcing them to travel for basic needs. Versatile: No power? No problem. Merlin’s Voyager model includes collapsible solar panels. Other Merlin models are powered by 12VDC batteries and 110VAC electricity.
